Yellow Tail Arowana is from the Banjar Masin River in Riau; Indonesia but DO NOT Confuse it with "Banjar Red" that is 1.5 Red or G2. Yellow Tail have its own beauty, as you can see above the tail area are yellow but the body will have Green Arowana marks or 1.5 Red marking. This confusion started because of some unhonest LFS in taiwan. YT look like Red when young, those unhonest LFS try to sell YT as Red. Those ppl that brought the YT think that they had brought a Red, when the YT grow up it is not Red at all! Those angry ppl than started to called YT grade 2 Red, because they think it is a inferior fish. This is not fair at all, YT had it own beautiness also. It just like comparing apple and orange. In the later stage, TKL (or unknown hybrid) aro were also included in the list, because most of them won't grow up to be a Red aro! Lastly, grade 2 red is the same as 1.5 red, different placesused different name, but they r the same. Now is 1.5 Red, G2 OR Banjar Red Arowana, costing from S$138
1.5 Red Arowana has red colour finnages when it is young but would fade away as it grows up and the scale colours will not appear like the grade 1 Red Arowana. Higher quality ones would perhaps have more pinkish tone in the colour but is still largely silverish and a yellow coloured tail. If you are lucky you can get 1.5 Red Arowana with gold tone on the face. As there are alot of cross breed now.
Below is a close up view on the snake skin on Nami Green Arowana as the Nami Green is Rare the Price can cost more then XB

From the above pic some say it as Platinum silver arowana but some say is silver aro in WTT (white tank treatment) i will talk about this later on. This silver aro is found in the Amazon River basin and Oyapock Rivers in South America as well as in still waters in Guyana. Silver aro will have the same colour from young till old. some silver will have light red scale depending on what you feed. Silver are the cheapest and easiest aro to keep. Most aro keeper use silver as a comm partner for other expensive aro to attact. So that less damage is done on expensive arowana. Pic of young Silver below
Black arowana is a close relative of Silver arowana arowana. From the Pic above you can only see the colour different on the fins, black aro have blue base find compare to silver. Black arowana are rumored to be harder to raise arowana around that why the rareness. Pure black aro are harder to come by in singapore. Mostly young black arowana cannot reached adult stage in Singapore due to water condition. Some black aro will loss it blue or black fin when they are at adult stage thus the only way to know their breed is to buy when they are small. Pic of small black arowana is attached below.
